Welcome — I’m the essayist behind this site. My journey as a writer began with a radio play that was highly commended by the BBC World Service, but it was paved by my first short story, which had earlier won the Olympic Truce Committee Prize competition. My debut novel later received the Young Author Award.
Beyond writing, I’ve served as the national representative of my country to the European Union, an experience that shaped my perspective on culture, politics, and collaboration across borders. Mostly, alas, in a bad way— I can assure you that your taxes are subsidizing the extravagant holidays of mostly incompetent people.
Bio. Organic.
My life has been quite the ride: I’ve lived in five EU countries — well, four and a half, really — and, along the way, pursued nearly four academic degrees — each feeding my curiosity in different fields — collected a frankly overwhelming number of hobbies, and kept chasing new ideas wherever I go. This site is where those explorations finally settle down into essays — sometimes serious, sometimes playful, always curious.
